🧪 PROCESS (WHAT MAKES THIS SPECIAL)
“La Esperanza” — meaning hope — represents a third-generation farmer’s commitment to elevating Peruvian coffee production through precision and experimentation. Fidel Huabal transitioned his farm from mixed, aging varietals into a focused cultivation of Yellow Caturra, carefully selected for its clarity and consistency at high altitude. Only fully ripened cherries are handpicked, then undergo controlled fermentation that adapts to local temperature and weather conditions to enhance flavour development. Drying takes place over 6–8 days using raised beds and solar drying systems, allowing sugars to concentrate slowly and naturally. The result is a refined natural process coffee that is both structured and expressive — combining tropical vibrancy with deep, chocolate-driven sweetness.
